What people say:
Mira is a true gem! As a parent of two twice exceptional kids, Mira has first-hand knowledge and experience in dealing with the complexities and joys of raising kids that are not neurotypical. As we all know, parenting can be a difficult journey itself, but adding the challenges that 2E children present can make it extremely lonely as well. Most people don’t understand these difficulties and can even misplace blame at parent’s feet. In addition, most schools are unwilling to make the appropriate accommodations that would allow these children to thrive. I also found that outside resources are challenging tofind.
Mira was my savior during one of my darkest parenting periods. I felt like I was in a free fall as my child was suffering and acting out in multiple areas of their life. I was grasping at straws trying to keep things afloat. Mira was there as a sympathetic ear, providing support and guidance as well as vetted list of invaluable resources. Through her, I was able to find multiple sources of help and build a great team of experts to help my child get back on track. Undoubtedly, we could not have done it without her!
I’m not sure why a parent would go anywhere else. Mira’s warm and empathetic demeanor puts you at ease. She has been in your shoes and therefore, knows immediately how to help. She can point you in the right direction, help navigate difficult choices and tell you from experience what works and what doesn’t. I cannot recommend her more highly. - SB, parent of two high schoolers
